Maitencillo Artisanal Fishers Union

The link between Maitencillo Artisanal Fishers Union and Capital Azul Foundation is long-standing, even before the NGO was formally established. This is why the Maitencillo TURF-Reserve is one of the oldest and with the most data associated with biodiversity monitoring.

Founded in 1988, this union has developed initiatives with different organizations and institutions with a focus on sustainability, including the installation of a hatchery (now disused) and artificial reefs.
