Cachagua Beach School

With more than 100 years of history, the Cachagua Beach School (Escuela Balneario Cachagua in Spanish) is one of the institutions with the longest tradition in this town. Several members of the Artisanal Independent Fishers Los Pingüinos Las Cujas Cove Cachagua Union maintain a close relationship with this educational establishment, which was one of the first organizations to link up with the Cachagua TURF-Reserve. 

In fact, in April 2024, nearly twenty children from the fourth and fifth grade of the Cachagua Beach School attended the inauguration of the TURF-Reserve, joining a walking tour guided by the artisanal fishers themselves, the team of Capital Azul Foundation and other actors, from Las Cujas beach to the Playa Grande beach in Cachagua.
